Changed Traffic Conditions

To conduct the Mooloolaba Triathlon, road and car park closures are necessary. These changes have been approved by the police, Main Roads, and your local government.

We sincerely appreciate the support of the local community, without which this event would not be possible

Free parking is available at the following locations;

  • Mountain Creek State School (Pick up location for Event Shuttle Bus)
  • The Wharf, Mooloolaba

 

Paid parking is available at the following location;

PARKnGO Mooloolaba Central

Open 24/7, the 700 undercover car park is accessible via Smith Street.  Council is offering the first four hours of undercover parking free at the PARKnGO Mooloolaba Central which is conveniently located less than 300 metres to the foreshore. Car park users staying longer than four hours will pay $5 per hour, capped at $20 per day.

PARKnGO Mooloolaba Central fast facts:

• First four hours FREE parking

• Entry and exit points from Smith Street

• 13 accessible parking spaces for diverse mobility needs

• Two electric vehicle charging stations, supported by an 100Kwh rooftop solar supply green energy

• 50 bicycle and 54 motorcycle spaces

• Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week

 

Parking & Bus Pick-Up Location: Mountain Creek State School, Lady Musgrave Drive, Mountain Creek

Event Drop-Off Location: River Esplanade Bus Stop, Mooloolaba.

Shuttle Bus Operating Hours: Bus Schedule will be confirmed closer to the event, the below times are subject to change.

  • Saturday 8 March: 4:30am-5:30pm
  • Sunday 9 March: 4:30am-5:30pm

Please allow time for delays when travelling on the shuttle bus service, particularly on Sunday after 6am, as the service will be travelling on the same roads as the public traffic and will also be affected by some road closures.

Waste collection

Waste Collection Services

Residents are advised that due to event road closures, waste collection services will commence earlier than usual on Saturday 8th March and Sunday 9th March 2025.

No changes to bin presentation – bins will be serviced from your usual collection point.

If your bins are missed, please contact Sunshine Coast Council on 5475 7272.
