Wet Weather Tips

As many of you have seen, the weather forecast for the weekend is predicting rain and it is likely that the roads will be wet for your race. Here are some of our tips for staying safe while racing in wet conditions:
• Take extra care on corners as they might be slippery, even if it is not raining
• The bike course does have some speedy turns & downhills – please take these as carefully as possible
• Avoid riding on the white lines. Paint + rain = a slippery surface
• Stick to the left and always be aware of anyone passing on the right. If you are passing, please make sure you call out that you are passing on the right
For post-race, if you are using the Gear Bag Storage, we recommend putting your clothes & belongings in large resealable bags before you put them in the Gear Bag you receive at Athlete Check-In to keep them as dry as possible.
